Synopsis
This is the story of Galaxy Records, their early rise to stardom, and the struggle to survive in an ever-expanding universe. This far-reaching chronicle reveals what made them a once powerful vinyl presence.
Background
Initially inspired by a Philip Jeck piece of music. He used record players and electronics to compose music. I started with a record and thought of a lot of silly visual stuff I could do. Then I created a crude 3D turntable and played around with that visually. I wound up rotating the record platters around the turntable and this appeared somewhat like moons orbiting a planet. From this the galaxy theme was developed. One thing led to another and Galaxy Records was born. I got to research the Big Bang, SuperNovas and Black Holes along the way. Also had to come up with some sort of ending.
Music
Musically I used Philip Jeck's Above and got to throw in a Jimi Hendrix piece, 3rd Stone from the Sun. Also lots of sound effects.
