Synopsis
The viewer is taken for a surreal ride on the High Line in Manhattan. It loosely incorporates elements of Alice in Wonderland, beginning with chasing a rabbit and ending with Alice transforming into a born again flower child.
Background
I was inspired by the High Line in Manhattan. I took a lot of footage and turned it into an imaginary train ride including going into a dark tunnel. I could see similarities with the Alice in Wonderland rabbit going into a hole so I superimposed the rabbit's journey with the train ride. I also stumbled across Alice along the way. Lo and behold the rabbit turned into the Killer rabbit of Holy Grail fame and attacked many of the High Line walkers. I figured I would have to kill the rabbit so of course I thought of the Elmer Fudd character in Bugs Bunny for our hero. In the end the rabbit died so that meant Alice was pregnant if you're following my scattered logic. What better for Alice to give birth to than a lot of the beautiful High Line flowers. Voila.
Music
I used John Adams Shaker Loops and also one of my favorite Led Zeppelin parts, the middle of Whole Lotta Love. Also lots of sound effects.
